Advanced Effect Maker 2.5 Beta 1 released

A new version of Advanced Effect Maker with the Visual Applet Configurator (2.5 Beta 1) was released with powerful new features like the image reduction system and effect of the moment! Advanced Effect Maker Commercial Edition download links sent

Commercial Edition and Hobby Edition Effect Maker users should have received their download links to the new Effect Maker version. Contact us at support if you didn't get a link, especially AOL e-mails have been a problem.

NOTE! Problems were discovered in these beta versions. To get Jewelgame working on Mac, make sure to set the image resizing fields to 0. Also, Windows users should run the application with the "run as administrator" option in order to avoid strange effects.

Beta version executables and Mac OS X images are being prepared for our lucky Commercial Edition users and will be released very soon. If you are a Commercial Edition user, you will be getting an e-mail with a download link. While you wait, you would probably like to see what's coming like for instance our new JQuery JavaScript effects powered with our UNIQUE button generator build into the VAC, or other new features in the new VAC 2.5 Beta 1! Three new image generator effects are being released with the Effect Maker 2.5 Beta 1 Commercial Edition!

New upcoming effects.

A new plugin with upcoming "beta" effects is now being mailed out to our Hobby Edition and Commercial Edition users. The following effects are included: ProductShowcase which was announced before, the customizable game JewelGame, the essential SlideDescription and the advanced dynamic image gallery ThumbnailGallery. ThumbnailGallery is our first effect that can dynamically download images from your server and display them in a beautiful manner. The plugin also updates 10 existing effects in the Commercial Edition and some in the Hobby Edition (only one new effect included in the Hobby Edition plugin). If you are a Hobby Edition user that wants to upgrade to Commercial Edition, remember to click on "File->Download Plugins..." to get a discount of $29 USD when you purchase it through our plugin page. "Unofficial" version for Mac OS 10.4 and 10.5

Mac users have had real problems with OSX 10.4 and 10.5 and Effect Maker. We had also had problems since the migration to Intel based macs required us to rewrite big parts of the VAC application. Now we have released a test version of Advanced Effect Maker (version 2.01) that we would like you to test and get back to us. Users having version 10.2 and 10.3 are also welcome to test version 2.01. What's new with this VAC version is that the compression algorithm has improved so that you can control the compression of JPEG images better. Now you can disable it altogether by writing low values. Download version 2.01 from here. Existing Commercial Edition and Hobby Edition users please request a download link from support.

Extend your Advanced Effect Maker installation with 20 more scrollers

Mandomartis releases the Flash effect package All News 2 Flash. It's a package of 20 scrollers for the Visual Applet Configurator. You can extend your existing Advanced Effect Maker installation with the All News 2 Flash plugin by downloading the plugin zip file, opening Effect Maker and selecting "File->Install Plugins..." in the program menu. The plugin works for both Windows and Macintosh versions. Note that to be able to use the plugin your screen resolution should be at least 1024x768.

Important note and Anibal's Essential Applets plugin available

If you downloaded Advanced Effect Maker the 12:th or early 13:th of december and couldn't make it run. Then try re-downloading with the same download link since we have updated the servers with a new setup file. This was because of a bug that affected some Windows XP machines (not all of them, just some). Also, Anibal's Essential Applets plugin has been released for the VAC. Download it from the plugin page by clicking on the "+" button and selecting "download".

Mandomartis releases Advanced Effect Maker 2.0 with the Visual Applet Configurator 2 Beta 1

After a 1.5 years of silence we now release a full batch of 20 new effects and 50 updates. Take a look at some of the new effects like ImageScroller2, HexMenu, LightMessage JigsawPuzzleGame and Space3DMenu. Note that from now on the software has been splitted into the Advanced Effect Maker applets themselves and the application which is now called Visual Applet Configurator. This application is in beta version (2.0 beta 1) but stable. Note that not all stuff in the VAC has been translated for the Swedish Beta, such as the application manuals for instance. The new enhancements in the application are among other things

• A whole new interface with applet screenshots for fast effect searching
• Support for plugins
• Java applet support, you can now download Anibal's Essential Applets and Anibal's Violent Playground and integrate them into the new VAC.
• A very powerful plugin maker for those developers who wants to integrate their applets into the VAC.
• Advanced Effect Maker and the VAC are now also available in the Swedish language!

Download the new Advanced Effect Maker now, versions exist for both Macintosh and Windows! Note that if you are a Hobby or Commercial Edition user we will mail out the download links for these versions within two days (you will get a download link even if your year of updates may have expired). If you don't get a link, it means that we couldn't reach you so please contact us for a download link stating your original Paypal e-mail that you used when you purchased the software.

The updated applets were mainly updated with ActionScript loadMovie() support (so that they can be integrated into other flash projects), with real hand cursor support and the famous 10 items limitation on some two level menus was removed so that they support up to 20 main items and sub items. Some other applets received bug fixes and other enhancements. The following applets were updated, please check their online help pages for more information about each individual update.

Mac OS X Panther problems solved!

The download format for Advanced Effect Maker Mac OS X version has been changed and now works well in Mac OS X Panther. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused you. Get the working Freeware Edition version here or request a new commercial link from our support for the Hobby or Commercial editions if you have purchased it.

Rolling, Bubbling and Tumbling!

This month's batch of 7 new effects contains multi level menus such as RollingMenu and BubbleMenu, Two preloaders and a new beautiful gallery effect. We have also improved 4 old ones.

ImageScroller (mouse flickering bug was fixed)
RotatingGallery (bug when not using the background frames for each image was fixed)
TumblingImage (loadMovie() compatibility added and fixed a bug when using images of different sizes)

Send Flash E-mails with Advanced Effect Maker and try out our adware applets!

You can now send Flash effects in e-mails from your Advanced Effect Maker account! We have also released 23 new effects, 5 are JavaScript effects and 18 are new Flash effects. Today, we have also released about 78 of our existing effects as "adware" effects. Which means a small message will appear at initialization time which will then disappear after a few seconds and give you a fully functional applet.
