With this gallery effect you can
display unlimited amount of images stored in your server.
Images are loaded dynamically into the movie clip on demand.
You can either let them be cached in memory or let the applet
forget them when a new picture is loaded into it's place.
The colors and background image
You can set the background color. If you use
a background image then it will overwrite the background
color. The background image is automatically resized to
fit the applet window.
Entering Images
This applet supports both embedded and dynamic
images. The embedded images are included in the .swf file
but the dynamic images are loaded from the server when they
are needed. Make sure you put the images on the same directory
level (same folder) as the HTML file in which you have embedded
this applet. If you use images that are big, make sure that
you put them on the dynamic list and don't embed them in
order to have a smaller .swf file. Try modifying the compression
setting to decrease the SWF file size for embedded JPEG
images. You are not required to use any image technology,
select the one that fits your need.
Columns and Rows
Here you can specify how many columns and rows
you want to have with images. Make sure though that you
have images to fit in your grid.
Image distance
This is the distance between the images displayed
(when you are not moving your mouse over them).
Caching images and image selection
If the image cache is checked then the images
will stay in memory after being dynamically loaded from
the server. By checking the random image selection box the
images will be selected randomly from the internal dynamic
image register AND from the embedded images. So in theory
the same image may appear after clicking it away.
Pause and speeds
The image pause is how long the image still
on the screen after having clicked it once. While the fade
speed controls the speed of the disappearing image.
Limitations
Due to a limitation in Flash Player 6.0, you
are limited to a maximum of 200 embedded images in the Flash
applet. More than that, and the applet will not work. This
only applies to embedded images, not to images in the dynamic
list.
