Take pictures of the product you want to display from as many angles as possible. Then use this easy to use effect to let the product spin around. The web visitor can move the mouse across the effect and control it's "rotating" speed. By using fading between the images you get a smooth transition. You don't need to take many pictures of the product for this effect to work. The most important thing is that your web visitors can see your product from all angles and get an idea of how it looks. Also, you don't have to use a camera if you have made the product with a 3D design program like 3D Studio Max (TM) or Lightwave. You can just let your 3D model rotate and create a sequence of images. Then use this effect to display your 3D model on your web page with almost 100% global browser compatibility and without your visitors having to download bothersome plugins! Make sure that you increase compression and use small images to decrease swf file size. You have photo examples here and here and another using a 3D model here.
The Background color The background color will affect the side fading effect. Make sure you have the same background color as your homepage color. This achieves the best effect
Selecting Images and the URL
Don't use images that are too big. Note that these images will be included into the SWF file, and it may swell to enormous proportions. Try modifying the compression setting to decrease the SWF file size. If you don't want to use an URL for the effect, then leave that line empty.
Dead Center
This value in pixels, will set an area in the middle of the screen in which the images will not move in response to the mouse movements. NOTE! This won't have any effect if you use an initial fading speed!
Initial and Mouse Fading speed
By having a large number in the initial fading speed, the effect will "rotate" the product faster where there's no mouse interaction. It should be set to values between 0-10. Put 0 if you don't want to let the product move until the user navigates on the applet. Also put 0 if you want the user to be able to stop the product from moving altogether, otherwise the dead center setting above won't work. The mouse fading speed is for the navigation speed, values between 1-10 are recommended. You can also disable mouse interaction altogether. If you use few images, make sure to have low values on these two settings. Higher values are recommended for many images
Limitations Due to a limitation in Flash Player 5.0, you are limited to a maximum of 200 images in the Flash applet. More than that, and the applet will not work. Other settings There are other settings that are discussed on the following topics from the Advanced Effect Maker documentation:
The Flash Applet Size Parameters
Entering Text Or Files
Working With Text Fields
URL Links and Frame Targets
Working With File Fields And File Lists
Working With Time Delays and Pauses
Working With Color Buttons
Compression Ratios for images
Working with Check Boxes
