  Applet Menu
ImageDescriptionMenu - Photo Menu in Flash

This complex Flash menu will display your pictures and put a description to the right of each image.

Setting Colors

In the Color tab, you can set the menu's colors such as the item text and background colors and the mouse over text color.

Adding menu items and URLs

Enter each menu item and its corresponding URL into their respective text field. Make sure you have the same number of menu items as you have URLs. See the section Entering Text Or Files for more information about entering menu items.

Adding descriptions and images

Make sure you have the same number of pages that you have images and menu items. All these numbers must match.

Fonts

You can specify the text size (in pixels) and the font. This applet supports FFT files. You can also set the font for the description.

Item Size and Image dimensions

The item size will set the size of the menu items. This parameter is important so make sure you set it correctly depending on the menu mode. You can also set the width and height for all the images included in the menu.

Menu Mode

The menu mode will set your menu into vertical or horizontal mode. Note that you must adjust the Item size parameter for this to look well.

Limitations

Due to a limitation in Flash Player 5.0, you can have a maximum of 200 menu items in the Flash applet. More than that, and the applet will not work.

Other settings

There are other settings that are discussed on the following topics from the Anfy Flash documentation:

Working With Text Fields
The Flash Applet Size Parameters
URL Links and Frame Targets
Working With File Fields And File Lists

Version history

1.1 : Added support for the ActionScript LoadMovie() command, which means that the effect can now be inserted into Macromedia Flash FLA projects. You can now load other .swf files or disable the links by entering empty links.
